Compare the Greek sailing areas

To help you choose your ideal sailing area in Greece, I selected 11 criteria and gave each region ratings accordingly.

More stars indicate a more valid statement:
 −>  not valid
 −>  half valid
 −>  very valid

Therefore:
“ Easy sailing conditions  ” means that conditions are *not* easy.

Obviously, these ratings and criteria are somewhat coloured: my crew and I don't care for beach- or nightlife and are keen on pristine seascapes, cetaceans, ancient Greek history, great sailing, fine dining and pioneering new anchorages.

Moreover, the term “sublime” should be read as defined by Edmund Burke, so more like “awe-inspiring” than merely a superlative of “beautiful”.

There are of course more regions in Greece, notably Crete and the Gulf of Patras / Corinth, which separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland.
Other forgotten but beautiful areas are the south coast of Peloponnese as well as the coastline of Thrace and Thasos in the north-east of Greece. Yet, these regions are remote, with no charter bases in the vicinity; only few (charter) yachts venture out there.

The best islands of Greece can be reached via the diagonal of yacht charter bases.
